While encompassing different aspects of cancer recovery, this inspirational film helps patients remain optimistic through this challenging phase.

Millions of patients are diagnosed with cancer each month, a figure close to 2 million in the United States. More than 600 thousand patients are expected to lose their life to cancer this year, and the severity of this problem can no longer be underestimated. For this reason, Hearing Cancer aims to raise awareness while uplifting these patients.

This short film builds on the first-person narrative of several survival stories. Patients can get a complete perspective on the facts and tribulations they might face during cancer treatment. The primary objective behind the “Hearing Cancer” short film is to bring hope back to the patients as they start their remission journey.

Several studies underscore the undeniable relationship between cancer survival rate and optimism. The promising approach helps patients better manage their new routine and adapt to the remedial measures to keep their bodies in the best possible shape.

Hearing Cancer blends the cultural boundaries with unique stories from different territories to paint an accurate picture of this issue. The filmmaker “Kistein Monkhouse” recognizes that every patient goes through a different experience, and this filmmaker goes the extra mile to bring all angles to the people.

In the words of the producer, “Everyone’s story matters at each point of their diagnosis. The shock of receiving a diagnosis can be a numbing moment. We created this film to help motivate and empower those going through a new health journey.”

This admirable attempt at raising awareness enabled the “Hearing Cancer” short film to emerge as a semi-finalist for the monthly Cannes World Film Festival. More individuals are expected to turn to this project, with September being the Childhood cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, ovarian cancer, thyroid cancer, and uterine cancer awareness month.
